Alone I Stand is an original mixed media oil painting created in November of 2025.

This 9x11 canvas panel piece is inspired by the loneliness of winters alone. Painted while my husband was travelling for work and I, alone again, cared for our acreage, our animals, our home in lonely silence. Alberta winters are harsh and as someone who struggles with depression, this painting allowed me to create a monument of strength and hope of spring and the return of loved ones.

A graphite sketch, sealed with clear gesso and dozens of thin layers of oils, this painting is a testament to God who sees us each through the loneliness and brings warmth in our cold.

A single tree bends into the wind, shaped by time. There is a quiet resilience in the way it leans and still holds, in the way the land glows beneath a fading sun.

Inspired by the spiritual aspect of creation that can only have come from a creator, Colours of the Wind reflects a longing to live gently, to notice, and to belong to a place rather than pass through it.

This 9x11 landscape painting is mixed media, beginning with a graphite base, sealed with gesso, and built through many thin layers of oil glaze to create its warmth, texture, and depth. Frame NOT included. Mock up picture is not accurate to the size of the real painting, please refer to provided measurments.

Perfect for those drawn to open skies, quiet strength, and the kind of beauty in creation that fills you with reverence.

Reminiscent holds the quiet ache of looking back and knowing something beautiful has already passed.

There is a softness the expression of Lady Reminiscent, she is someone caught between memory and the present moment. Her gaze drifts somewhere distant, not lost, but remembering. The green behind her feels alive yet still, like a place once walked through slowly, in bare feet.

This piece was painted in December 2024, marking a return to creating after nearly four years of silence. A time when art and creation felt distant, when something within had been set aside. This was the beginning of coming back.

It was inspired by the kind of longing that lingers for places and seasons that cannot be recreated. My years living in New Zealand was one of closeness to God, to nature, and to a version of myself that felt whole and awake and open. Leaving this place felt like being taken from something sacred, much like the quiet sorrow of Princess Kaguya, called away from a place she loved, never to return in the same way again.

For a long time after, I did not paint. I did not feel like myself. But this piece became the first step back toward both. And later, in January 2026, I returned to New Zealand once more, hoping to reclaim what was lost, but instead I came to understand the loss deeper, I got to make peace with it, and to feel whole again in a new way.

This painting is the beginning of a larger story that will one day become an ongoing comic, exploring memory, identity, and the quiet beauty of things that do not stay.

Painted in oils on an 8x10 canvas panel and set in a thrifted wooden frame (photograph number 3 & 4), chosen to complement its warmth and character. Ready to hang or display.

Perfect for quiet spaces, reading corners, studios, or anywhere that holds reflection, memory, and a sense of gentle longing.

This piece captures a quiet kind of love that comes after survival, when the world has already burned and something gentler begins to grow in its place.

There is no urgency in this love, only rest. The choice of life and love after facing death.

Created as part of the Films of Literature series, this piece was inspired by The Lord of the Rings and the tender, overlooked beauty of Éowyn and Faramir’s story. A love not built on passion, but on understanding, patience, and shared wounds...

"Do not scorn the pity that is the gift of a gentle heart, Eowyn! But I do not offer you my pity. For you are a lady high and valiant and have yourself won renown that shall not be forgotten; and you are a lady beautiful, I deem, beyond even the words of the Elven-tongue to tell. And I love you. Once I pitied your sorrow. But now, were you sorrowless, without fear or any lack, were you the blissful Queen of Gondor, still I would love you. Eowyn, do you not love me?'

Then the heart of Eowyn changed, or else at last she understood it. And suddenly her winter passed, and the sun shone on her.b'I stand in Minas Anor, the Tower of the Sun,' she said, 'and behold! the Shadow has departed! I will be a shieldmaiden no longer, nor vie with the great Riders, nor take joy only in the songs of slaying. I will be a healer, and love all things that grow and are not barren.'

And again she looked at Faramir. 'No longer do I desire to be a queen,' she said.

Then Faramir laughed merrily. 'That is well,' he said; 'for I am not a king. Yet I will wed with the White Lady of Rohan, if it be her will. And if she will, then let us cross the River and in happier days let us dwell in fair Ithilien and there make a garden. All things will grow with joy there, if the White Lady comes.

''Then I must leave my own people, man of Gondor?' she said. 'And would you have your proud folk say of you: "There goes a lord who tamed a wild shieldmaiden of the North! Was there no woman of the race of Numenor to choose?"

''I would,' said Faramir. And he took her in his arms and kissed her under the sunlit sky, and he cared not that they stood high upon the walls in the sight of many."

This work is mixed media, beginning as a graphite drawing, sealed with gesso, and built up through dozens of ultra-thin oil glaze layers to create its warmth and quiet glow. Frame is NOT included.

Perfect for those drawn to stories of resilience, softness after hardship, and love that feels like peace.
